Sarkodie back to the Obidi you know: on Flow King Stone’s Fire Burn Dem Remix

By Tawiah Evans

You can call Jay-Z, Eminem and others great Hipop artists but, you can’t label 2Pac because he was and still is rap itself.

I first heard Sakodie in the year 2008 and my words were, nothing can stop this guy and as if I went for consultation from some animalistic Kakai pastor, and though nobody knew Sark by then, the Obidipon Bidi rapper is now rap in Ghana.

Sarkodie so far, has used a number of tag-lines from the original Obidipon Bidi to waiy and the money making H3aa, to show Constituency, the Keva break-through rapper does a kind of different styles during the period of each tag-line but still maintaining himself as a man married to poetry in motion as Okyeame Kwame puts it.

My readers are free to chose under which tag-line the New Guy did or is doing his best  raps but as a DJ and longtime  rap lover and believer, Sark Did and is doing his best raps under the Obidi and the H3aa times.

Right now I’m listening to Flow King Stone’s (Fire Burn Dem) remix which strategically and musi-thinkally featured Obidi and Shatta, and men, Sark’s verse takes me back to the Obidipon Bidi times when some of us predicted, rappers like Quata Brokusu and Okra Dawidi will go into hibernation.

And now to the track under discussion, I think the two twisters have finally given rap lovers something to put on reply for months and Shatta took the chorus to a legendary and international level.
