President Mahama Acted As An Illegitimate And Un-Elected Government By Accepting The 2 GITMO Prisoners Into Ghana-CGIN

Sovereignty they say, lies with the people and in any case, who is a service provider to tell the customer when and how he or she is satisfied?

In other words, president Mahama and his government are a mere service providers and in that part of business world the service provider have no right to determine when a customer is satisfied so The Coalition for Ghana’s Independent Now describe the president’s adamant posture and un-qualify attempt to force the people of Ghana to believe we are safe as dictatorship and an act of ILLEGITIMATE and UN-ELECTED government.

    

To accept the GITMO prisoners without consulting Ghanaians through parliament portrays the President of Ghana and his government as an illegitimate and un-elected government

In other words the decision the president took does not reflect an elected and a legitimate government or president who takes all the powers he in him from the people.

When one juxtapose the action taking by the president with the basic principles of democracy, which is by the people, of the people and for the people, the unilateral decision taking by the president fall flat.

From the president's responds and that of communicators, Ghana is practicing executive system of government therefore, the right to bring in these prisoners without consulting the source of his power, the people without whom there is no democracy.

We at the Coalition for Ghana's Independence Now and many Ghanaians who are morally up-right in democracy reject the reason given by government led by the president to take that ILLEGITIMATE and UN-ELECTED decision and  we therefore refuse to see this undemocratic decision as be taken on our behalf with mind, body, soul and spirit.

We reject the constitutional explanation for this dangerous action because for the president to take undue advantage of unfit and faulty constitution makes the democratic live of Ghana an HIVAIDS positive.  

Now the Coalition is calling on all Ghanaians to call for a new constitution that will give back power and decision making to the ordinary people because this decision by the president came about as a result of unfit and faulty constitution.
